So... I am planning to build a better flowerpot for 2m, a colinear....
This will be a vertical for mounting well above the ground on a mast. the objective is to have a bit more gain in the horizontal plane.
To keep it in the tube format the feed line is always a problem as it has to run past the lower element and is vulnerable to parasitic radiation from the driven element, also it needs to be split from the 50 ohm feed to two 25 ohm feders.
My question is, looking at the sketch below... what the radiation patern of '5' in particular?

Looking for a cheap (ie use repurposed items) to test my "11m FM" rig when I'm finished fixing it, with a 7m pole, this design looks somewhere near.
However, still needs fettling. Powers up but no audio even with the squelch down. Might be a week or two.
