Weekly Club Meeting at the Bunker

Nice to be in the chair, thanks to you all for turning up.

General Items
The latest version of SPRAT is now available and in the wall holder.
Interesting book on HF Antennas has been added to the library.
I’d like to operate a one in / one out arrangement for equipment.  When equipment is replaced by better / newer kit we need to dispose of the old equipment or it will just pile up.
Please do not bring any equipment to the club that you want to dispose of without prior arrangement.
VGA Auction
Items will be available for Club / Member purchase for 4 weeks, after this time alternative methods of sale will be used.  It should be noted that all proceeds will go to VGA’s family, the club and its members should not benefit financially from their loss and I’d ask you all to be respectful of the valuations of the equipment.
Several items were sold and the list has been updated.  The value of the Icom handheld is to be confirmed.
Co-ax
Anyone who has borrowed a couple of reels of co-ax please return it ASAP as it is needed for the VHF NFD stations next weekend.
VHF NFD
Fast approaching!  Second call for volunteers and operators.  I’ll be opening the bunker on Monday (26/06) for 7:30pm training on the Tucnak logging software.  Please note that I don’t have a key to the Town Hall so access to the bunker will be up the drive.
DaveFDU offered to donate a headset, thank you.
QSL
Mike had requested a dozen 2nd class stamps for QSL cards.  DaveFDU said he would drop them in to him.
What do you want from your club
One for you all to ponder on and get back to me.
Initial comments were more social events following last week’s enjoyable evening at the Black A Moor.
Demonstration of digital and other modes within the hobby.
Demonstration of amateur radio software.
Or are you happy to be out of the house for a couple of hours for a rag chew?  All fine, I just want to make sure we can cater for as many members as possible.
